It Can Be Simple

I believe we can build our relationship with God through simple prayer, God wants to hear from us constantly, He is concerned about the small things as much as the big. Pray what God wants you to pray and remember it doesn’t have to be long to be powerful.

I HAVE NO TIME!

If you feel like you don’t dedicate enough time to prayer why not try to give the Lord short prayers throughout the day, just letting him know how good He is. You can pray to God on the move, while shopping, walking, at your desk, on the train, anywhere really. The most important thing is staying connected to Him, it could be a prayer like this -‘Lord thank you for getting me to work safely, please give me strength to get through this today, In Jesus Name I pray Amen.

Obviously it’s great to set time aside for God but if you are finding this hard, short simple prayer could help you get to the point where you are doing both. If it seems even harder than this ask God to help you have the desire to want to pray, ask God to remove anything that is stopping you from having fruitful prayer. Talk to Him just as if you are talking to a friend, give him all your concerns so you can be set free.

Ask, Seek and Knock Matthew 7: 7-8 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.

THE ENEMY

The enemy will encourage you to keep going without doing anything to improve your prayer life, even making you feel guilty which in turn makes you shy away from the idea. He will even plant foolish ideas in your head just to keep you off track by telling you ‘you don’t pray properly, you don’t use the right words etc’ One thing we need to do is get comfortable with prayer so the devil feels uncomfortable.

Don’t let the enemy dictate your prayer life, choose more of Jesus. Jesus 1 – 0 Enemy
